Last day of official lessons in school and here marks the end of our uniform days!
Thank you and three cheers for Ms Wong who bought as a cake...really delicious...chocolate brownie if i didn't remember wrongly :)

Somehow everyone is looking apprehensively at the cake. Stares at the cake. Eyes water. "Is anything going to happen?" some people wonder. Stares at cake still. "Can I have second helpings?" thinks JiaJu (out of pic) "Maybe I should go cut the cake." thinks Wenrui. And there you go, that's so characteristic of 73.

YAY! And wenrui cuts the cake! ("Phew!" thinks bystanders) As usual, nobody cuts a cake as perfectly as she does... she's got an in-built compass-cum-ruler-cum protractor-cum-set square in her (or she must be a computer in disguise, with that unmistakable font size 10 arial handwriting...hmm...)

Nice class photo here...though slightly slanted...looks as if all of us are tilted to one side of the frame :D that's quite cute...but that was quite a fun photo. Three cameras, three timers, three people trying to run into the frame in time for the pic....well, that's the joy of taking your own photos i guess cos it gets really exciting :D

Yesterday, 9 of us (xiaowen, wenrui, joonwee, weilun, tingyi, florence, pengrong, leekoon and me) went to the kbox at cine. Pengrong was the first to reach as usual and he started complaining. (note by flo: he reached at 1.30pm and made an assumption that we will all be late. We arrived at 2 pm sharp, FYI) Then tingyi n i went up to the 8th floor kbox place to find him but he wasn't there. Then called him n realised tt he went to the 4th floor kbox place instead. Then called wenrui n they all were at the 4th floor place as well. -.- Oh ya, before tt, tingyi n i went shopping for xiaowen's present. Wait till wenrui post her camera photos then can see tt our taste is imbah. =) Then i was just commenting to tingyi tt without her i would probably get lost n the next moment i turned around then realised i was walking in the wrong direction n ms cheow has kindly walked off herself.

We went into the kbox place and started singing...

joonwee can sing wan lor. at the start refused to sing n acted as though he don't know all the songs.

weilun acting spastic, playing with the thing use to put the cups. we were singing halfway n the room became a warzone, with this cup thing n the tibits flying around. florence got zham at the face n ear i think. then the others also got zhammed. childish joonwee n weilun's fault. 1st time go kbox can get blueblacks. wah imbah. i think the cleaner quite poor thing. need to clear up all the stuff.

after war. go back to singing. tingyi n joonwee singing some old songs i tink.

stupid weilun refused to let me go to the toilet. n pengrong commented tt this looked like maid abuse. -.-

weilun went to hang tingyi's sock at the door while she went to the toilet.

refused to let pengrong in for saying tt i m the maid.

now look at their reaction when they closed the door n touched tingyi's socks after they came in...

"wth?!?"

wenrui singing again. we purposedly went to choose the tuo diao song n she started zibi-ing again.

bday girl singing... her voice is imbah nice... when she sing together with leekoon, cannot differentiate from the singers' voice.

new discoveries:
-joonwee is a wolf under the sheep's skin. tried to sit beside florence n da shan her. "xiao jie jin tian yi ge ren ah?" n gave the evil smile.
-xiaowen has a imbah nice voice. can be the next poster girl for the kbox place.
-the kbox mtv for english songs has no relevance to the lyrics. wenrui has to hide her face for some parts of the songs.
-zui jin hai hao ma by SHE is an imbah nice song. need to dian twice due to overwhelming response. first time xiaowen n wenrui sang. then second time first part tingyi n i sang. then second part florence n leekoon sang.
-do not let weilun use the remote control. he will start choosing the old hokkien songs tt no one heard before. he chose a song by xiaohei and the mtv was quite funny. leekoon attempted to sing with the help of the pin yin.
-pengrong can sing high-key songs.
-learn how to read fan ti zi before going to kbox and do not be like pengrong n our csc star, joonwee, who don't know how to read the lyrics.

Hope tt the bday girl had enjoyed herself. Oh ya we didn't sing her birthday song. So shall sing her a belated birthday song:

Basketball finals was exciting...esp the girls' finals...can't believe we caught up with the 18-points difference and secure the championship with a close score of 52 to 55. Crazy match...we got double champs btw! Three cheers!

放Balloon Day!!!

Today's council elections part 1, where the candidates come and introduce themselves to the school...well, not really interesting though, I thought last year's videos were way much more interesting and hilarious as compared to this year's. (Sorry juniors!)

Then after that, we went back to class bench and saw this packet of balloons on the table with 2 pumps. Apparently, some of our classmates missed their childhood and they started to pump balloons and play with it... :)

First, they decided to compete and see who can shoot their balloons the furthest...

Jasmin won...

Then, they tried to blow it as big as possible...

Some of us apparently dislike balloons, or fear balloons...and for example, our dear Dun Yong... :)

DY: "No....no...no...." (Gets up quickly and scampers away....)

To test whether it was genuine fear, I decided to burst a balloon in front of him...

(Throws an ultra large balloon in front of him and pricks it with the collar pin)

BOOM!

Oh...so it's really true.

And that's how we spent a boring and uneventful break time before GP lesson...well...perhaps we should have mugged given the devastating math results and more to come... :)

Seniors Meet Juniors Session

Last Wednesday, we finally get to meet our juniors! But of course before that some of us have already went to investigate their background, and the info they got is:

1) They are a triple science class...(brainy or ahem...)

2) They only have 18 people, 7 guys and 11 girls? (so sad...so little people)

Anyway, we did a small welcome party for them, which Joyce and Seng wei went through the pains of buying lots of chips, bottles of soft drinks and TWO boxes of STRUDEL for them...thanks a lot...it was delicious!

Before the feast, we played our usual welcoming games. To our horror, we learnt that this year's counsel is very nice to this batch of J1s...like they never play "Pass the pocky game" and do all sorts of funny forfeits which we all suffered last year....so we decided to make them do it too...here's some photos...(viewers' discretion)

First up, it's "Pole Dance". Unfortunately, my phone the camera abit zai, cannot take motion pics, so i only took one while Joyce (in Cedar U) is threatening/coaxing/persuading this junior, whom i think is Jonathan, to dance around another girl (not in pic) for forfeit...

Next, "Pass the Pocky" game~~~

Weilun suggested it...actually want him to demo with *beep* but then we decided to spare them...

Well, end of round on of the pocky game...forfeit time...quite interesting

Juniors: "Can we just sing a nursery rhyme or something?"

Senior: "Sure, why not? Just sing it with the guy in push-up position over the girl..."

Junior: "..."

Then, the guy super cute...he went over the girl at the legs...then the seniors (guys) started to complain

Kx: "Not fair...last year we got tekan by the counsellors...must body over body...parallel to each other!"

Hahaha...i think we argued with the juniors for like 15 min before we finally let them be in this position instead...haiz...plus singing "twinkle twinkle little star" plus doing 5 push ups...i wonder which is better?

After witnessing that kind of funny forfeits that we dished out, everyone seems to be all determined not to drop the pocky...here's an extreme case...

Well, by now the pocky is about 2 cm long...George decides to negotiate with the girls

Hmm...not really a negotiation isn't it...but nevertheless...the three of them were excellent...they managed to pass the pocky and saboed another pair...woohoo! That's the spirit man!

Damn the war game has started already yet we were still having bio lecture. First aiders were so fortunate, can be excused from lect and can watch the entire game >.<

Though we arent the ones playing, watching the game was also equally fun and exciting! In our j1 year, before the war game started, I still remembered Kang Qiang said: "THE SUN IS SHINIHG BRIGHTLY TODAY, SO WE HAVE LOTS OF POWER!!!" The crowd roared.

Ares base was indeed "colourful". No wonder they lost.

The alliance was damn obvious. and the defence was imba. do you see phospholipid bilayer? with numerous phosphate heads and carbon tails. with cholesterol regulating its fluidity-.-

and lysosomes engulfing the foreign intruders and disarming them.

Just want to thank all of you for making my birthday a really really really happy one.

Thanks Lee koon, Peng rong and Weilin for going early to get my presents and planning the birthday...(though weilin like made the supposedly "surprise" super obvious and I was trying to pretend I dunno anything... :D)

then, Aaron, Yusiang, Edwin, and Baona (came like last minute...super thankful to her) for coming too...we had lots of fun on the ice skating ring...trying not to fall and trying to skate...

then the ones who shared for the present and sending bdae messages...thanks a lot... :D

oh ya...remember wenrui's astonishing and impressive cake cutting skills? yep...compare with weilin's... :D

Haha. Leekoon's version of Florence's birthday is super funny. Ok so why she is blogging about the later part of Florence's birthday is because we used different cameras to take photos. Mine was during iceskating and it ran out of battery. It honourably risked the chance of being crushed when I fall onto the ice. Haha. Leekoon, pengrong and me decided to meet earlier to buy Florence's present and the cake. Then we went around looking for her present. Haha. Leekoon and Pengrong were both wearing black! So sorry for being a bit bright. Then we were walking and talking and Leekoon suddenly came up with this idea of calling Pengrong 'xiao-mei'. Lol. And there was Choo xiao mei.After buying the presents, it was still early so we went over to check out the kbox price because we almost changed to kbox since only a few of us know how to iceskate. But it was imbah ex. $20. So we went to the iceskating place and looked around. There were only 2 skaters then they were imbah pro. Then we were like how come there is no other noobs around, later we go in then got 2 pros and 8 noobs there how? But luckily it was just a performance by the people from the national team. wow. After that, the ring resumed to have some noobs, some pros and some intermediates. Then we sat down and looked at them for a while and Pengrong began to tell us about how his fingers almost get chopped off by the skates. Please ah, it was a super wrong timing to say that story because we were about to go and skate and he gave the impression that your fingers will get chopped off anytime when you get into the ring.

So we went to the mrt station to fetch our fellow classmates and then we realised we were short of 1 person to form groups of 4 which will be cheaper and got unlimited time to ice-skate inside. So Leekoon managed to persuade Baona to come and join us. While we waited for her to come, we went to arcade to play. Edwin, Yusiang, Leekoon and Florence played the basketball and they managed to get into the 2nd round. Not bad. Then Florence and Yusiang played Time Crisis. Yusiang quite zai, can shoot super fast.

Then we went to the iceskating place. Got our skates and put our stuff in locker and we began to skate. Starting was a bit difficult then you could see this bunch of people clutching the side of the ring. Like this:

So we iceskated for a few rounds then Leekoon went to remind the person to play the dedication for Florence. The PA system was not very good and the message was not very clear but anyway, there was a happy birthday song which was quite old and slow and bubbles floating down. We intended the bigger kind of bubbles but the effect of this one was not bad too. Like snow like that. We skated to the center where the bubbles were floating down from and took photos.

At 4pm, there was resurfacing of the ice. But before that, there was a speed skating round which was to skate at your own risk because everyone was skating at super fast speed and the impact when you fall down will be super great. But of course, everyone doing the speed skating were pros and no one fell down. It was like they were running on the ice as though it was just like on land. wow. The uncle who helped us took photos went and skated and he did not lose to the younger skaters. wow. After the speed skating was resurfacing when the truck came out to scrape the surface to make it smoother. So we made use of the chance to take photos. Haha.

The jie-mei bang! With the newest member, xiao-mei! Haha.

Spot the main difference for the next two photos. Other than the colour contrast of the picture which my camera changed itself and I dont know to increase the colour contrast.

Haha. Leekoon want to niao Pengrong so she asked me to take the top one. Then Pengrong bushuang and went to join in. That is why 1 got him 1 don't have.

Then, we continues to skate around. Leekoon, Edwin and Yusiang quite pro though it was Yusiang's first time to iceskate. wow. Leekoon pulled almost everyone one round and it was quite shuang to just let people drag you along without having to move your legs. Haha. Florence dragged me a lot of rounds too because we were skating together. Haha. So all of us began quite ok in iceskating after rounds and rounds of skating though some of us fell down a few times and there was no need to clutch onto the sides of the ring.

Florence got leg cramp so she went out to retie her shoelaces. Bo liao Leekoon went to take photo. -.-

Now about the part of the changing of the male lead... when we were skating halfway, we noticed something. ;) Look at the next 2 photos...

On a fateful Saturday afternoon, a bunch of people appeared at Jurong East Fuji Ice Skating Palace.. :)
Namely: Florence HO, CHOO Peng Rong, LENG Weilin, Edwin CHEN, NG Yu Siang, Aaron KONG, TEO Baona, KWEK Lee Koon =D

Details of skating will be covered by our dear weilin.. ^.^ My job here is to cover what happened AFTER the skating~ haha~~ Well.. actually, there's still a part before the skating, which weilin will ALSO cover ;)

Well basically, with our imba planning skills, the day went on with a fantastic ice skating session (where we had lots and lots and lots of fun stuff~~)

Haha.. Then we went over to IMM to have a delicious meal of PEPPER lunch!! Uneventful for the meal, we decided to have some excitement while bringing in the cake.. This was how the conversation went:

If you are, come join our SL project as a volunteer!

You will be able to BAKE COOKIES, as well as interact with autistic youths at the Autistic Youth Centre (just beside hougang MRT).

Through this, you will learn more about the condition of autism, as well as spread your care and concern by BAKING COOKIES WITH LOVE. (wth so CORNY)

Stuff you'll be doing includes baking cookies, working with autistic youths and guiding them with the steps of baking cookies, packaging, and selling the cookies.

There'll be staff from the centre giving guidance as well, so don't worry if you can't communicate well with the autistic youths. (: A short briefing will be done before each shift to brief volunteers about the cookie making process, as well as about autism and about interacting with the autistic youths.

There will be two baking and packaging shifts per day (from Monday to Friday), and six volunteers will be needed per shift. Morning shift starts from 10am to around 1pm, while afternoon shift starts from 1pm to around 4pm.

You can form groups of 6 among your friends, or we'll help you muahahaha :D

First of all, sorry for the delay of photos because I found out that I don't have a decent looking photo...so have to wait for wenrui to send them to me...anyway...yesterday we went to celebrate pr's birthday at kbox at AMK...my first time at kbox...never knew it could be so enjoyable...

Let's not digress...here are the photos...

(Hmmm? I thought Lee Koon was suppose to be in the photo...Sorry...i abit extra... was trying to hide but apparently unsuccessful...)

ANYWAYZ...Birthday boy pr...cutting chocolate tiramisu cake...it was quite nice to my surprise...have chocolate taste yet not too overwhelming...the shirt plus necklace (if you can see it) is his present...I must hereby give credit to Lee Koon, whose taste is really good...pick a shirt that look good on pr...made him look like some 黑社会老大...(joon wee aka 黄爷's place was usurped for the day).

Kbox session was indeed enjoyable...we were all singing like crazy...look at them...

Last week of school is seriously entertaining...besides discovering a new pair in the class...no need to mention names as all of us know...we discovered that our dear classmate dunyong also has a SECRET to tell...it's about his gender preference....it all started out like that:

1) Besides mugging notes, he also mugs every single korean drama available.

2) He loves gossiping

3) Last but not least, he got really excited when watching this mtv of the song named "脱掉". For those who do not know the content, the mtv just depicts men and women stripping la...and when the guy take of his pants or boxers(forget which one) dy just screamed in delightment cum excitement...o.O That's really informative isn't it...btw...we also gave him a new name "Lester"...can call him that in the future. ;P

Also discovered that weilin can seriously hit a real high pitch worthy of a girl's when the need arises... That Lee Koon is the queen of Kbox...
Weilun is not only a walking (everything) encyclopedia, but also a song expert...

Open House!

YOZ!!! Who's the one complaining that no one's posting on class blog? Then contribute la! Today's open house day, it's been one year ago when we have also came to Hwa Chong and check out the campus ourselves and now we are involved...quite strange yet it feels good. It was really quite nice...the councillors tied balloons at the central plaza, but dunno whether is the sun too hot or what, for some reason, we kept hearing 'pop' and 'pop' once in a while and a shower of glitter will descend onto the ground...nice heart shape though...look at the pic

Haha...and then the cca booths...the vnr one is super zai...we built a bridge...which IS VERY STABLE...

and invited jasmine, aaron and edwin to climb on it...hahaha...luckily edwin didn't go break the bridge...he was weaving in and out of it.

now...for our classmates' performances...it was really as enjoyable as always...Xiao wen and her chinese dance... taekwondo...suppose to feature yusiang in midair...but my b****y camera phone is lag...shutter speed too slow so by the time it took the picture, they have already landed...nevertheless it's a cool cool cool performance.

Of cos, there's CO performance too, but i missed both slots so too bad...no photos :(

the night started off with florence,weilin, leekoon and i waiting at far east flora to buy flowers for the performers... then leekoon landed in far east plaza due to some miscommunication... and weilin's bus 156 took very long to come.. (long long story) and we eventually didn't get to buy them.. sorry! -- to all performers.

then florence, weilin and i arrived in school... florence went to help out in chinese society street market booth while the two of us wander around the school compound... At first we thought that not many people will turn up but reality proved us wrong... i think almost the entire class turned up.

we saw jasmine, szeying, yihong, beiyu, aaron, weilun, joon wee, yusiang, kaexiang, dun yong, joyce, seng wei, ding jie...

and our performers: xiao wen, pengrong and joshua...

and the four of us...

and the night continued with the performance.. fountain display... light up... street market... then we went with our lanterns to the field and we played "pesi cola" and "freeze and melt"... my camera was with my sis at that time so i couldn't take any photos...

First of all...HAPPY TEACHERS' DAY to all our dearest teachers!

Next, in a desperate attempt to revive our blog, I'm going to post some cute cute pics here...teachers' day celebration was very fun...and funny at the same time. First, we had a very unsuccessful aces day dance...and then the mass dances...for your info, only like 5 pple from our class stood at the central plaza...as in literally standing there and stoning...for the big picture, about 1/5 of the C1 cohort were present there and only 1/8 of the 1/5 danced the dance...-.-

so much for "mass" dancing...hahahaha...

ok, now, let's see our presents for our teachers...i think it's very nice...

First up, it's Mr Heng's board!!! nice right? very colourful cos of the black background...hahaha

This is Miss Huo's...oh man...super striking...i almost went blind while writing the words...

After that, we went to the audi for teacher's day celebration...the performances were well thought out...esp the magic show one...the guy is excellent...fluid movement, made mr ang go up on stage as an assistant...(wriggle fingers over knots....) and putting the rope back together after cutting it into two...that was some magic trick!

nothing can be compared to the skit put up by our new teachers..."In a time not so long ago, in a land not so far away....there was a school called Hogwarts Chong School..." HAHAHA...whatever...the audi exploded instanteneously....sorry...dunno how to post video on the blog...so cannot show you the funny skit...it's like the four faculties have to go defeat the mosquitU...-.- that's pasted a U at every student's back...hahaha...his face was damn hilarious...scream mask with a extended nose...i wonder what would the real scream do when he saw that...

Anyway, that's all...had a really good laugh today...

here are some pics of the ndp from the other side of the river! and a short account of the sights and happenings:)

at 4p.m, my family started to our camp at the field area across the river. sadly, we couldn't get to see the stage, just water, sky, and the microscopic audience stand. :(

haha but the atmosphere there was great. got to see lots of stuff like unruly behaviours of typical singaporeans. -.- haha ok not so great after all. but it was very hilarious because whenever the pple at the front stood up, the whole mass of pple at the back would go " OEI!!! SIT DOWN LA!! DUDUK!! OEI OEI OEI..." and when more pple heard this commotion, they thought it was some ecstatic squeal that signals the arrival of the planes or parachutes, and so MORE pple stood up, which totally defeats the initial purpose. haha and it became very chaotic but it was really damn funny to see members of the public getting so worked up.

and then there was this mob which attacked a group of Bangladeshi workers, when the workers crawled over the fence and blocked most of our view. HAHA it was really very exciting, like a riot was going to erupt anytime..haha there was some pushing here and there, more "OEI!" , and finally, the workers left with great embarrassment..

although we didnt get to see the events happening on the stage, we got to see these equally exciting happenings. -.-

and it ended with the fireworks display, a great eye treat for everyone! enjoy the photos!

Greetings, everyone! Happy National Day!
Just finished watching the NDP...wow...this year's a spectacular performance...I got really excited even though I was just watching through the television screen...hahahaha...it's really one special performance this year cos it's held at the marina bay...ooo...i loved the fountains plus the neon kites...

Yesterday we celebrated national day in sch...hahaha...quite fun...watch the march past (is it correctly spelled?) Everything went smoothly until this joker st. john's guy ran across the field and dropped the first aid kit, scattering all the stuff onto the grass...hahaha...all eyes bore on him...(aaron almost died on the spot)...there was also this performance by the band...the band major threw his stick into the air and the spectators held their breath - to watch if he could catch it back...and unfortunately, he missed it...and then, there it was, the hwa chong spirit as the whole audience let out a unison "AWWW..." in fact it sounded quite happy as though we all expected it to fall...terrible people...

Then to the national day concert...HURRAYS!!! The hall's aircon is finally up...we get to enjoy cool air now...there was a inter fac song writing competition...it was hilarious...i must say that the artemis's rap was fantastic and impressive...hope i can get my hands on the lyrics...the performance call themselves "The Rapper Boys" -.- hahaha...it goes like this...

"Hello everybody, we are the Rapper Boys~~~" with a delibrate, lower voice to stress on Rapper Boys...hahaha...i couldn't stop laughing...

Apollo's dance accompaniment was quite nice too...very elegant...though the song was...slightly emo-ish...

Sorry about the lag of pictures...cos my camera sucks...i shall add on when i can get my hands on it....

Anyway, xiaowen and lee koon danced the indian dance...i took a lot of pictures on that...hee hee hee...so be sure to check it out...but then....they seem to have this sian look on their faces...dunno why...:D

If you found the epilogue of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” rather vague, then J.K. Rowling achieved her goal.

The author was shooting for “nebulous,” something “poetic.” She wanted the readers to feel as if they were looking at Platform 9¾ through the mist, unable to make out exactly who was there and who was not.

“I do, of course, have that information for you, should you require it,” she told TODAY’s Meredith Vieira rather coyly in her first interview since fans got their hands on the final book.

Rowling said her original epilogue was “a lot more detailed,” including the name of every child born to the Weasley clan in the past 19 years. (Victoire, who was snogging Teddy — Lupin and Tonks’ son — is Bill and Fleur’s eldest.)

“But it didn’t work very well as a piece of writing,” Rowling said. “It felt very much that I had crowbarred in every bit of information I could … In a novel you have to resist the urge to tell everything.”

The wizarding naturalist
Luna Lovegood, the eccentric Ravenclaw who was fascinated with Crumple-Horned Snorkacks and Umgubular Slashkilters, continues to march to the beat of her own drum.

“I think that Luna is now traveling the world looking for various mad creatures,” Rowling said. “She’s a naturalist, whatever the wizarding equivalent of that is.”

Luna comes to see the truth about her father, eventually acknowledging there are some creatures that don’t exist.

Luna and Neville Longbottom?
It’s possible Luna has also found love with another member of the D.A.

When she was first asked about the possibility of Luna hooking up with Neville Longbottom several years ago, Rowling’s response was “Definitely not.” But as time passed and she watched her characters mature, Rowling started to “feel a bit of a pull” between the unlikely pair.

Ultimately, Rowling left the question of their relationship open at the end of the book because doing otherwise “felt too neat.”

Mr. and Mrs. Longbottom: “The damage is done.”

There is no chance, however, that Neville’s parents, who were tortured into madness by Bellatrix Lestrange, ever left St. Mungo’s Hospital for Magical Maladies.

“I know people really wanted some hope for that, and I can quite see why because, in a way, what happens to Neville’s parents is even worse than what happened to Harry’s parents,” Rowling said. “The damage that is done, in some cases with very dark magic, is done permanently.”

Rowling said Neville finds happiness in his grandmother’s acceptance of him as a gifted wizard and as the new herbology professor at Hogwarts.

The fate of Hogwarts
Nineteen years after the Battle of Hogwarts, the school for witchcraft and wizardry is led by an entirely new headmaster (“McGonagall was really getting on a bit”) as well as a new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher. That position is now as safe as the other teaching posts at Hogwarts, since Voldemort’s death broke the jinx that kept a Defense Against the Dark Arts professor from remaining for more than a year.

While Rowling didn’t clarify whether Harry, Ron and Hermione ever return to school to finish their seventh year, she did say she could see Harry popping up every now and again to give the “odd talk” on Defense Against the Dark Arts.

More details to come?
Rowling said she may eventually reveal more details in a Harry Potter encyclopedia, but even then, it will never be enough to satisfy the most ardent of her fans.

“I’m dealing with a level of obsession in some of my fans that will not rest until they know the middle names of Harry’s great-great-grandparents,” she said. Not that she’s discouraging the Potter devotion!

I LOVE OUR CHEM LECTURER MAN!

He is imbaly funny =D

During his lecture, he wanted us to name the organic compound he showed in his Macbook. First question: Level of difficulty: (1 hwa chong logo= level 1 -.-). A structure looked similar to benzene but din have a ring in the middle. The answer was cyclohexane

Second question (1 and a half hc logo -.-). Methylcyclohexane
Fifth question: (6 hc logo o.O!!! The whole LT WHOAH tacitly, and guess wad? With a click of the button, HAHA another logo dropped from the top!! Which added up to 7 logos =D ). The answer was 1,2-dimethyldecahydronaphthalene
Last question: (1 HCJC old logo -.-, followed by a statement “a.k.a Imba” XD XD XD ). With a click of the button, a humongous replication of the structure floated from the bottom and filled up the whole screen, and the whole LT was shocked with eyes widely opened. O.O!!!

School Reopens

School finally reopened...(not counting the horrendous block tests we had 2 weeks before). Everyone's back in school and everything's back to the normal, too normal, too sian...

But then, there's always room for some interesting things to happen...though not all of us get to see it...

Thing No.1:

Yesterday, was a typical Monday. Sadly, we had one an a half hours break before GP starts. Oops, ya...going to be another boring day. So weilin and i decided to go and pick saga seeds...it was a success cos there were quite a lot on the ground...to our delightment...When we came back, we saw yusiang and company...suddenly, they ask, "Eh want to go and see bird?"

Curious as all humans are about creatures not branded as homo sapiens, we went...

OOoo...what a cute cute bird it was...poor thing though....sze ying said it fell off the tree, the mother was chirping for it and it was chirping for its mother...and we were all afraid it would freeze to death at night...so we decided to take it under our wings...

We went to the class bench and found a test tube box for it (sorry seniors)...and went to pick twigs and leaves for it...apparently Little Bird was extremely intimidated...its eyes were wide open and it was clinging on to the side of the test tube box like crazy... We were already planning what to feed it and all the stuff, trying to calm the bird down.

In the end, it managed to fly up the tree again...edwin helped us look after it when we went for GP...i guess we helped him fly...it was so eager to get away from us...:D

Thing No. 2:

Today, We celebrated Tingyi and wenrui's bdae....plus our long belated 73 birthday!!! (*throws confetti in the air)

Wenrui, as meticulous always, cut the cake in perfect dimensions...that's the best cake cut i've ever seen in my life...wow...

Anyway, that's about all now...hope both of you will have a wonderful birthday...yup...

Since weilin spam photos, i shall spam words...let me elaborate a bit on our interesting and funny and exciting sabbaticals...

Day 1: We climbed the 25 m wall...and the sun was shining on it...how great you think...the rocks, or rather, the tiles were blistering hot...we could hardly grab hold of it properly...sad...but still have to climb...so you either climb quickly or you just hang there and get your hands burnt...we were blowing our hands while trying to stay on the wall...hahaha...really can't take it...too hot le...
Then, as though it's not intimidating enough to find yourself metres above the floor and clinging on to some boiling rocks, one of the them decided to give way when we grab onto it...WHeeee, it went spinning away when i tried to grab hold of it...gave me such a shock...was cursing it...

Day 2:
More exciting...absailing...dear weilin was terrified...we were suppose to scale down this 18 m wall with a super nice background of a super huge swimming pool...we all enjoyed it trememdously, especially watching weilin...
She gingerly steps onto the edge, and then, her legs starts shivering...hahahhaaha...we were laughing like crazy....finally managed to coax her down...took about 5 mins....then at the bottom...we look down at her. Suddenly, out of the blue, ys nonchalantly said, "从这里看，玮琳变得更渺小..." OOPS...we all instantaneously burst out laughing...yusiang...shall vote this classic phrase as Phrase of the Year...nice one there....we really had a good laugh...

Then, we did bouldering...seriously fun stuff...get to climb upside down, though none of us manage to do so...and then the ice climbing part...me and weilin thought we looked like monsters using the ice axe and the funny shoes...forgot what's that called...to climb up a styrofoam-covered wall...all of us suffered tensed muscles after the climb...hee hee...

Anyway, it was fun la...we can now climb our own!!! Got cert... :D And it's certainly entertaining to see weilin's tensed up face plus shivering legs...

If we are planning to watch movie in the morning and next, go to eastcoastpark/ sentosa . we can actually book a bbq pit at eastcoast park/sentosa. one bbq pit costs around 20 bucks. but i'm not sure if we can get an available pit as we need like advance booking (at least 3days in advance for internet booking and one day in advance for phone booking and must go dwn there for payment).
hmmm and yeah when's our class outing again? if eastcoast park / sentosa cannot, then i shall volunteer my house's bbq pit and function room. but my house at simei leh.. abit de far from ALL of ya peeps house (except for dunyong who stays across a field from mine and his selamat can send him here) which is mainly situated in the West. yeah so we can actually go to someone's house to bbq for dinner after a movie or sth like that:P yeah pple can volunteer! yarh but first mus decide a date yarh.

Camp sparex at NTU '07

Hello, haha i also hav lots to say abt the camp! HA I think i m walking like a duck now -.- yea as commended by my mum when i reached home after the sparex camp in NTU. Coz my legs are really aching, no i think e whole body is aching...ah damn tired larrr. Basically e first day was quite technical, second day was v v v physical, was like training for e whole day! walao no wonder i got hungry so easily lar, eh but how come no gastric pain one? hmm maybe too tired edi cannot secrete anything haha-.- Ya, fact of e day: I LOST 3KG AFTER THE CAMP! and now, i m 50...i think i hav to eat more liao

Haha i got mug lo, one page of photosynthesis -.- yea n i feel damn guilty now

and ya e main course of e camp is e sparring competition today! Ya as sze ying said, is v v FUN. haha after her matches i saw her lips turned purple-black o.O, wah sze ying u really scared me lar, haha muz rest well and drink lots of water k (:

Haihz i lost e first match coz i think i too nervous liao. and i was quite worried I cant perform well coz I sprained my left ankle on e second day. I borrowed an ankle guard n put it on. during e match e couch kept shouting me to use my left leg to counter-attack, but having too many things in mind, i couldnt launched an attack n kena zham like shit.

To overcome that kind of fear, worries n hesitation, for e second match, i took off the ankle guard. coz i think that guard will remind me abt my pain n will make me lose confidence. Ya i think i fought better for e second match at least, 6-6 but still lost to sudden death haha. anyway winning or losing doesnt matter to me, tru mistakes and pain i really learnt a lot. "No gain without pain" n "A fighter nvr quits" are the two big thing tat i shall bring back from the camp. hope u guys will incorporate them in your life too. ya 8 days left for blocks so LETS MUG HARD

HELLO, gongzie here, yusiang and I just came back from the TKD sparring camp organised by NTU. OH MY IT WAS FREAKING TIRING.

YEAH AND THREE DAYS OF UNMUGGING IS SINFUL.

haha i'm here to reassure everyone that DONT WORRY IF YOU HAVENT MUGGED FOR THE PAST FEW DAYS, CUS ME AND YUSIANG SURE HAVENT!

HAHA got one time we all thought yusiang was mugging but then you LOOK CLOSELY HIS EYES ARE CLOSED! hahah walao trying to trick us -.-

and yeah i tried to mug, but well, to no avail.

yay anyway the camp was damn fun. okay the games and everything were sian. but the training and sparring was good stuff. i've never been so physically drained before lar.

and last day (i mean, today) was the sparring competition. damn cool. okay me and yusiang both fought for two matches and it was FREAKING TIRING. seriously, it like your mind asks you to charge in and kick, but the legs dont listen to you.

but anyway, me and yusiang both lost for both matches -.- i know why i lost lar, but haha it was a good fight! and yusiang has COMMENDABLE SPIRIT! *claps* -.- yeah i think our fighting spirit rocks lar! i was shouting my war cries (-.-) like siao. and yusiang kena zham lots of times but the second time he fought back damn hard and had a lot of damn nice kicks.

Yay...finally back from japan...
Think i will just talk about Hokkaido la...actually i'm quite disappointed...supposedly june can see a lot a lot of flowers...like the entire field is full of flowers, like a carpet of it...but then don't have...only some managed to bloosom...but still the fields are beautiful, plus fresh cool air...

Actually still got a lot of photos...but i sian to put up...but i shall show you the seafood...it's excellent!!!Sashimi...fresh...naturally salty taste...a bit crunchy some more...wah...

The Perak adventure trip was quite fun :D Nvr been Perak before even I m a malaysian haha. yeah we did white water rafting, waterfall abseiling, caving and forest tracking! All v fun!! Many pple fell into the freezing rapids during rafting! (luckily i din). Abseiling was quite challenging, as the wall of the waterfall was quite slippery, a few just slipped and banged to the rocks. Ouch...and caving was quite eye-opening, can see many funny rocks...-.- (i think geog students will appreciate it la).

Forest tracking was a disaster. Why? coz u dunno when the eerie leeches have crawled on you! All the way i can feel something wiggling inside my shoes. As i took off and checked, LEECHES! One fat and big another 2 small and thin like a thread, desperately finding holes of my socks to poke thru. I hav encountered 6-7 leeches, but 0 bites! Haha coz i wore long sleeves and thick socks (: Some of my friens got bitten, aww it would juz bleed non-stop...Got one person even found one inside his underwear o.O! luckily he managed to pick it off before it bites! Or else..haha u noe la...Along the way in forest, we found Rafflesia! the world's biggest flower. Really big, u cant cover its surface area even if u sit on it ^^

Alright this is insane.. im blogging HERE and not at my own blog.. hahax.. anw.. australia's fun.. but getting quite cold now.. temp dropping frm 14-15 to abt 8 degrees tonight.. lolx.. enjoy myself like crazy and dun wanna go home.. >.< Jus got home from fraser island (which is a ulu but pretty island) this afternoon, and bbq-ed and now safe and dry and warm at home.. lolx..

Woohoo...hahaha...currently in Japan. I thought it was going to be very hot but no, the temperature outside is like 21 to 25 degree celsius...either way, it's quite nice the weather...i realise there's internet access in many places, e.g. the place i'm staying at...went to universal studios at osaka today...very fun...bought a very very very cute looking baby cookie monster and elmo...too bad the queue were very long...every ride took like an hour...going to hokkaido tmr (finally -.-)...yup...enjoy your hols everyone!!! bye...

Before we entered the toapayoh sports stadium yesterday, we could alr hear the thunderous applause and cheering from our sch. We shud be owning man -.- , i thought. The moment we got into the stadium, oh my... HCI 11 : IJ 2 o.O Wah our sch basketball team damn own lah! A few mins later, the marginal score was always about 20 pts or more! The player 7 and 13 are damn cool, can communicate telepathically! As the playmaker point guard passed the ball to anyone of em, both of em will assist one another and SCORE. The final score of the match was quite morale boosting! HCI 99 : IJ 63 . Haizh juz one more mark then we break 100 alr XD...haha nvm lah we OWNED then can alr, shall not ask for too much :)

Yeah, Friday marked the start of the hols! Yea many pple r going overseas! 祝你们一路顺风! Must rmb to take a lot of photos and share at the classblog :) as some pple might not hav the privilege or chance to go to the place u gonna visit, like me T.T So rmb to post hor... Finally term's coming to an end...and instead of finding ourselves free and enjoying that one month holiday we've all been waiting for, I realised like almost half the class going away for hols!!! hihi everyone, if u r not aware, our class is filled with first aiders (tat includes a chemistry teacher..) !! :) TRUE CERTIFIED FIRST AIDERS!!!

on saturday, jiaju and i just concluded our three-saturdays-from-nine-to-six first aid training and we both PASSED our first aid test..WOOO we're certified first aiders!!!

ok so we would like to share our humble first aid knowledge with u guys...cos first aid may just come to good use any time anywhere...

ok, let's start...First aid is the immediate help given to the casualty before medical help arrives (if i didnt rmbr wrongly).

ok to teach u guys abt first aid using words sounds really boring right??...so here' s some pictures to make things interesting...really interesting...enjoy!

lesson no. 1- Bandaging

what u do when u injure both eyes

do not panic when help arrives

and this is how u bandage...

and when ur chem teacher gets her eyes injured too....

u bandage her up..

and never let the casualty catch u taking a photo of her.

Lesson no. 2- choking/ CPR

Check for breathing--Apply Look, Listen, Feel

Crucial step- clearing the airway...jiaju always takes extra care and goes slow and steady whenever it comes to this step

Next do 30 compressions when suspected choking

And then u give 2 blows again..

(of course, there are many steps not illustrated here, yeah so this is not very accurate..pls do not try unless u r Aaron:)

First of all, Mr. Low, our econs tutor who taught us when Mrs. Genevieve Tan was in labour. He is a very dedicated teacher and all of us LOVE him. Hope we will have a chance to meet him again and have lunch together!

hmm...i will rate the fac outing 5/10. The food was nice, especially the BBQs, but personally i think that the programs were a bit sianz...

orh came to post cos last time florence and pengrong [;) , i am NOT hinting anything seriously. haha] asked me to blog. so post lor.

happy brithday jiaju! and happy belated one to leekoon! shan't elaborate on them f___ p___ jimmy. omg. today then know got such stuff.

and wah florence, you \ me. -.- our class a lot of \ers already. go light fire still not enough, then still got people blowing wind here and there. then the fire became very big. ok but that is not the main point, the main point is do not believe in what your eyes see.

there is this random reversi and chess craze in our class. almost every recess can see people playing. cos florence everyday bring reversi set then nothing much to do during the long break so we went to play. oh ya, question of the week: the two wls of our class (me and weilun) vs leekoon and wenrui in reversi, who won? haha can go tag answer on the tagboard. those who know the answer le don't tag hor. those who don't know can go guess whose intellect is higher. =)

everyone go pray that tomorrow morning won't rain cos aaron going to shout command during morning assembly. haha. don't believe that he can everytime so lucky and be saved by the rain. haha.

this week quite laxing cos lecture tests over already. but tmr got chem spa. must go read va3 - va8. jiayou ba!
